The Speech and Language Pathologist: Consults with physicians to determine goals of the treatment plan for the pediatric patient. Administers tests to evaluate speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing deficits. Determines individual treatment programs for rehabilitation of speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disturbances. Confers with interdisciplinary staff regarding a patient’s status. Documents all patient interactions. Participates in continuing education activities. Teaches, supervises and consults with staff, students and family/significant other.
