Provides appropriate and efficient evaluations, treatments, and associated physical therapy services. Participates in and supports Rehabilitation program development.
· Provides timely and appropriate evaluations and treatments in compliance with department policy and standards of practice.
· Completes appropriate and required documentation in compliance with department policy.
· Communicates with patients, caregivers, physicians, and coworkers in a professional manner. Participates in relevant meetings in a contributory manner and is consistent with the pursuit of quality patient care.
· Assists in all other department functions on a daily basis and completes these tasks within department deadlines.
· Participates in and supports departmental program development.
· Coordinates and mentors student interns.
Demonstrates knowledge regarding the effective use of therapy equipment.
Demonstrates trustworthiness with confidential information.
Supports the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures as set by the hospital.
Works in a team-oriented manner.
Thinks and reacts calmly and professionally in stressful or emergency situations.
Demonstrates ability to use observational, verbal or manual determinations to assess function of the musculoskeletal or neuromuscular system relative to physical therapy.
Demonstrates knowledge of treatment/prevention of any disability, injury, disease of other condition of health.
Demonstrates ability to establish and carry out planned physical therapy interventions for identified impairment, functional limitations and disabilities.
Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university for Physical Therapy.
