- Bachelors Degree Required
- American Heart Association ACLS
- American Heart Association BLS
- Current RN FL. license
- 1 to 2 years related experience required
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Function/Outputs) include the following. Other duties may be assigned and all duties are subject to change:
Achieves high visibility and availability to our customers (employees, patients, families, physicians and other departments) to promote the hospital’s mission and values, to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner, and to increase customer satisfaction.
Coordinates, supports and implements customer service initiatives and service recovery within the area of responsibility and hospital-wide.
Provides 24-hour support and accountability as a resource person within the multidisciplinary patient care team.
Participates in the development of new or revised nursing protocols, policies and procedures, collaborates on orientation of staff, staff continuing education and annual competency review.
Collaborates with the Executive Director in developing and maintaining the yearly budget.
Accountable with the Executive Director for productivity within the assigned areas and to manage resources, services and supplies in a fiscally responsible manner.
Collaborates with the Executive Director, support supervisor, charge nurses and staff in preparation and to ensure compliance with JCAHO and other applicable regulating agencies.
Actively participates in the process of interviewing, hiring, evaluating, rewarding and discipline of staff in areas of responsibility.
Coordinates scheduling of staff with the charge nurse/staffing office to ensure appropriate staffing and the best utilization of resources to optimize quality of care, productivity and cost efficiency.
Provides ongoing, appropriate clinical and departmental communication to the Executive Director.
