The pharmacist is responsible for the safe, accurate and economical use of drugs in patients through the application of specialized clinical skills, knowledge and functions resulting in positive patient outcomes.
· Responsible for the safe, accurate and economical use of drugs in patients through the application of specialized clinical skills, knowledge and functions resulting in positive patient outcomes.
· Responsible for performing medication distributive functions in accordance with state/federal laws, JCAHO Standards, hospital/departmental policies and procedures.
· Serves as an educational resource for healthcare professionals, students, patients and the community.
· Engages in collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues.
· Assumes responsibility for professional growth and accountability.

Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods and techniques involved in the practice of pharmacy as defined in the “Practice of the Profession of Pharmacy” in compliance with state and federal statutes.
· Graduate of an AACP accredited school of pharmacy.
