Reporting to the Nursing Director, this position is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating, and providing high quality, individualized patient care using the components of the nursing process.
1. Maintains current professional licenses and/or certifications as and when required by state, regulatory agency, or hospital mandate.
2. Demonstrates knowledge of, and adheres to, all applicable professional/regulatory practice acts, state/ federal regulations, and policies and procedures of the CORPORATION.
3. Initiates a multidisciplinary, goal oriented care plan for each patient in collaboration with members of the health care team and provides care based on that plan.
4. Performs physical and psychosocial assessment of all age groups of patients that demonstrates knowledge and consideration of age specific and cultural differences. Modifies nursing care to meet the age specific requirements of the newborn (0 to 30 days), pediatric (1 to 12 years), adolescent (13 to 17 years), adult (18 to 70 years), and geriatric (71+ years) patients.
