Physician Liaison Dir Professional Outreach The Director of Professional Outreach is responsible for achieving growth for hospital-specific service lines that are in alignment with the Division and Market Strategy.  Under direction of the Hospital CEO (insert your reporting structure), the DPO will develop and implement plans of action for determining and achieving physician satisfaction with the hospital and its departments through open dialogue and in-person visits with both affiliated and non-affiliated physicians in the assigned service area.  In collaboration with the Hospital CEO (insert reporting structure); evaluate, analyze, and interpret market utilization data for assigned hospital services ensuring that priorities and opportunities are identified. In collaboration with the Hospital Marketing Team, promote differentiating services to community physicians to ensure they understand the clinical advantages of our facilities. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare administration or marketing from an accredited college or university.  Master’s degree in business or healthcare administration preferred.

Requires a minimum of 5 years progressive experience in healthcare, preferably in marketing or business development.  Clinical and/or sales background desired.

3. Maintaining continued medical education at or exceeding the level needed for certification and prescriptive authority.

4. Current CPR certification.

5. Familiarity with managed care, experience in a teaching hospital or other academic health care setting is helpful.

Recruitment and retention of qualified staff

Delivery of high quality patient care

Implementation of clinical policies and procedures that ensure compliance with all company policies and State/Federal rules and regulations

Development of referral relationships, including relationships with referring physicians

Day to day focus on the financial operations of the hospital, with an unwavering commitment to solid financial performance

Representing the hospital within the medical community and news media

Qualifications for the CEO position include:

At least 5 years experience in healthcare administration/management with experience in operations management, human resources, and/or finance is required.

Strong business development and community-based relationship building skills and experience preferred.

Knowledge of federal, state, CMS and Joint Commission regulatory requirements required.

Demonstrated track record of financial success and exemplary clinical care required.

Proven success in recruiting and developing staff, and in developing relationships with the medical community required.

• 5+ yrs of experience with an acute care hospital, including overseeing general operations for ancillary departments, strategic planning, as well as physician relations and recruitment.

•MBA/MHA is required.

•Management experience in hospital/healthcare environment.

•Experience in hospital administration.

•Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills.

•Computer skills
